Summer Speech Therapy
June 15-August 22
Summer can be a really valuable time to keep your child’s communication skills moving forward, especially if they’ve been working hard during the school year. At On The Grow Speech Therapy, we offer individualized summer sessions both in-home in the Madison area and online throughout Wisconsin and Iowa. Our goal is to help children maintain progress, build consistency, and feel more confident communicating in their everyday lives.
Why Continue Speech Therapy Over the Summer?
It’s common for children to lose some skills over longer breaks, especially when they’re just starting to use new words or communication strategies. Without consistent support, you might notice more frustration, less communication, or difficulty maintaining the progress they made during the school year.
Continuing therapy over the summer helps protect that progress while also giving your child the chance to keep building. With fewer school demands, we can often make meaningful gains in a shorter amount of time.
What Sessions Look Like
Summer sessions are personalized based on your child’s needs, but many families choose to come 2-3 times per week for 30 or 60 minute sessions. Therapy is play-based and focused on real-life communication, whether that’s in your home or through engaging virtual sessions.
I work with children with speech sound delays/disorders, language delays/disorders, AAC, and gestalt language processing, always focusing on functional communication that carries over into daily life.
Who It’s For
This is often a good fit for children who are not yet talking or have limited words, are difficult to understand, or become frustrated when trying to communicate. It’s also a great option for families who receive school-based services during the year and want to continue that support over the summer.
Location Options
In-home sessions are available in Madison, Fitchburg, Verona, Middleton, and nearby areas. Online sessions are available for families anywhere in Wisconsin and Iowa.
